UK Hoops took care of business this afternoon in Memorial Coliseum, beating Alabama 82-68 to stay unbeaten and in sole possession of first place in the SEC. Keyla Snowden led 6th-ranked Kentucky with 14 points off the bench, including 3-4 from outside. A’dia Mathies added 13 with a pair of assists and Bria Goss scored 11 in the win, which pushed their record to 20-2 overall and dropped Alabama to 0-8 in the conference. The win keeps UK Hoops unbeaten at home on the season at 14-0, and keeps the men’s and women’s programs perfect in Lexington so far this year. It also means Kentucky is one of only two programs in the country, along with Middle Tennessee State, to have its men’s and women’s teams both be undefeated in conference play. The ladies will look to keep that going when Ole Miss comes to town on Thursday night, and then will travel to take on LSU one week from today. After that, they’ll get a week off before visiting Knoxville for a big rematch with Tennessee, a game that will have a huge impact on the conference race. Big ups to UK Hoops on what has been an incredible season so far and let’s hope Coach Mitchell’s squad keeps it going.

Girls are looking awesome. This may well be the best Hoops team ever. I'm not sure they can challenge for a national championship, but I wouldn't count out a final four.
