I don't think I like the whole message boards thing no more. Before this, I thought we had the best fans in the world. Now, I think we have the most spoiled. People talk about wanting a new coach and team. Why would anyone want to come here? So they can be bashed for being human and making mistakes or not being this all high and mighty team that doesn't lose ever, or need time to develop, or even not blowing out ever team that's ranked below us by 30+. I gonna leave before I'm tainted, and while I still think, wait, hope for the best.

WAIT.....what did I say, now I know I have to go, that's just crazy.

It's not the loss that most get upset over but the lack of any semblance of improvement in our cohesiveness.
What is this attributable to?
Tubby SMITH
He continues to try to force Alleyne and Woo into the game and that immediately gets us off on the wrong foot.
Then he substitutes with no idea what he is trying to create not to mention that the players have no idea.
And some get mad at guys like Crawford!! - hell he has no place to go with the "PROJECT TWINS" cluttering everything up.
Many have called either for the smaller lineup with Sims and Thomas or play Carter in the middle. - last night Carter looked pretty good in actually moving around and staying out of the way, catching the ball, moving to the ball for rebounds, playing defense, etc.
Tubby Smith is just a stubborn average coach that is lucky to be at Kentucky and continues to experience erosion of his image with the Cat's Fan Base.
Without Morris or Tubby at least keeping Alleyne and Woo out of the games, this will be a very long season. - come to think of it - it's going to be a struggle this season no matter how you look at it.
But then many of his fans can blame all of this on the NCAA.
BTW, kygoff good luck in finding another Tubby "the wonderful" Board.

Tubby Ball is atrocious to watch What's new? It has been since 98 when his team played Pitino ball. Tubby is here as long as he wants. UK basketball is mega BORING.Either like what you see or don't care as much about UK basketball, it's happened to me for sure. I'm so frustrated with Tubby ball that I've finally ran out of things to say, is this possible

I was crushed when Pitino left. But wasn't surprised after all the flirtation with the NBA. But if Tubby left, I won't feel the same way. I'm sorry.
But Kentucky basketball isn't what I grew to love.

Its interesting to see how many unfamiliar faces come out to post immediately after a loss. Perhaps thats good for the board but it just shows the true nature of some wildcat "fans". Sure we all need some time to vent the frustration, but dont call yourself a fan come March then a basher again in November-December. Times are rough dont get me wrong but as with all Tubby teams they will materialize come tourney time. As the season progresses he'll whip our boys into shape. Its game experience that will make our boys conditioned for the title. We'll be just fine dont you "fans" worry. Oh and hey I'll see you posters again next time we lose. Its also interesting to see the same familiar faces coming to the defense of this coach even with his complete lack of offensive continuity in teams year after year after year..

guys honestly I think that you are going to have to show a little patience, kentucky's problems revolve around the center position Tubby's offense has always gone from inside out and since we have at this point have no reliable inside threat our offense is going to struggle and always has when we didn't have a reliable inside threat, Tubby's offense can work 2003 was the best offense I have seen his teams have outside 1998 and 1999. I also get the feeling that this whole randolph morris situation has put some kind of disemblance in our team I really think once we have him back we will be a different team. I think it can open things up as other teams will have to pay him some respect thus opening things up for others in our offense. But given the way we have been playing I would think that it would be entirely possible that we could lose several more games until we get him back which will be the ultimate test of our patience as kentucky fans but I truly believe that it will pay off in the end as we will be the last ones standing laughing at all the doubters.

I agree, without Morris, we are screwed. However, the absence of Morris is not the reason for a one deminsional offense, Rondo or Bradley dirbbling the ball while everone else stands around.

Yes our problems are at the center position. And whos fault is it that we wasted 2 scholorships on seven footers that will never be anything more than average players. I ran out of patience with this coach years ago. Its time for Tubby to prove he is worthy of the job he now has OR MOVE ON TO A SCHOOL THAT IS HAPPY JUST MAKING IT TO THE DANCE!!!!

slammajamma.....im sure you are talking about me among others as only coming out after losses, however i do have some 200 odd posts. All of us on here love UK basketball and will be watching it til the day we die no matter who is coaching it. What is wrong with voicing our opinions over an offense that has simply been inept the last 8 years. I'm sorry you dont feel the same way but that is why it is a message board...everyone has different opinions. I will watch every game i can, even with Tubby coaching; all i'm saying is the day he walks out the door, I, for one, will be a happy man.

Tubby's team wins a lot more than they lose. They go to the dance every year and make it to the sweet 16 or elite 8. These are facts, but it also a fact that Tubby's preferred style of play is boring. This is not bashing; it is a truism. The sky is blue, water is wet, and Tubby ball is boring to watch even when they win (which is most of the time).

Thank goodness for Tubby Smith, perhaps he could educate Adolph Rupp, Rick Pitino, and Joe B. Hall on what it's like not to be .500 in a season or below .500 at UK. Rupp, Pitino, and Hall make sure you have your pen and paper.
Sounds ludicrous doesn't. Well, it fits with this stupid thread.

Tubbys style is crappy to watch, but it has proven to win aside from regional finals. Now, if we can get some wins in regional finals then it will be easier to take.
