This team is designed for Pitino, this is my point. Tubby's not capable of coaching an uptempo team whereas Pitino would have this team kicking some tail and I bet they'd be happy. In Pitino's offense your not afraid to shoot and gain confidence whereas Tubby has this team scared to shoot - literally.. This cats team would be pressing and running the other team off the court and he'd know how to motivate them to do so. tubbyball does not fit our current teams strengths and I doubt Tubby will change his style to fit this teams. I'm sorry, but a truly good coach would adapt his offense to his players strengths. I'm by no means backing Pitino, but I'm supporting those coaches who know how to change. Take Billy Donovan, he realized his team needed help on defense and he got it. Therefore Florida is beginning to kick some tail and appear to be a dominant force in the future. I'm sorry guys, but Tubby has yet to show he can adapt, he's too stubborn. If Tubbyball can't adapt to his players strenghts then I personally want a new coach. Please give me your thoughts..

if your even begining to imply that billy donovan is a better coach than Tubby i think you're way off. this is the first year that he's done anything with his players. take last year, billy d had the talent and did nothing with it.

I'm implying this: Billy Donavon knew he had problems on defense and he did something about it. Tubby has problems with his offensive schemes, will he do something about it? Good coaches can so allot of different things, I'm not sure Tubby can? We'll see soon enough..

I'll say that he is. He knows what to do to win and recruit doesn't have an ego that is my way or no way. Besides I've been hearing for awhile from many former cats who played under Smith that he gets 2 mil a year to be a figurehead and the real coach is Hobbs. Many have said this, I'd like to put up a link because their is a whole lot more that I left out. I'm going to go try to find some more info about this if you would like. Remember Sears saying that "Kentucky basketball is not what like it used to be." after he left the team.

Pitino's gone and Rupp is dead, and we sure don't want anything that was between them so let Tubby do his job.

I think Pat Riley would be a nice addition he has stated before that he would like to coach the Wildcats.

It really is hard to discuss Kentucky Basketball right now because almost everything boils down to Tubby not being the correct leader for this Program. So many of us are frustrated because Tubby is not only calling the shots as far as coaching the Team but also calling the shots whether he stays around or not. No way Kentucky can afford to buy out his "golden parachute" so Tubby would have to be the one to pull the plug!! (was that contract extension a Barny thing??)

This guy is from close to my home town. He is a world class jerk. He didn't go to class and he picked a fight on an airplane with Gerald Fitch. If he had a problem with Tubby I know exactly what it was. He is from Corbin after all. There are at least enough good examples of guys that have left the team to use someone besides Corey Sears as your example. Maybe next time you can use Rashad Carruth.

ch, you beat me to the cory sears bashing. he did pick a fight with gerald fitch on a team plane about some girl if im not mistaken. both were suspended for the altercation.
tb, im not postive but i thought he transferred to Union College, but didn't get kicked off. i think he just realized that he wasn't good and wasn't gonna play and im sure the fitch incident didnt help since fitch was a star.
bleedingblue, i would be curious to see what actual players said about Tubby just being there, and hobbs calling the shots, if you can find anything. but how does billy donovan know what he has to do to win? he doesn't win, Tubby has owned him up until last year. i think before our first loss to them last year, Tubby had won 9 of 10 against him. billy d is the posterboy for choking in the ncaa's.
snick, ill concede that billy d did do something to help his team's defense out, and its paying dividends this year. i do wish Tubby would bring in an offensive mind, but im not sure that he will.
