All of the anti-Tubby posts have me wondering, what is the end result you wish to accomplish? So you want Tubby gone. Fine, everyone is entitled to their opinion. But what good does it do anyone to come and rant endlessly about motivation, lack of offense or his salary? Do you actually think people at UK read what is on here or even care what a few disgruntled fans think? Why don't you haters put up or shut up? By that, I mean write to the University with your complaints. We live in a computer literate age, print up some "Can Tubby" signs and display them in your yard. Call in to Dave Baker and Oscar Comb's show and publicly voice your displeasure to someone actually connected to the University. Go to a game and hold up an anti-Tubby sign. Hell, get together and march outside Rupp arena with your "Fire Tubby" signs. I firmly believe that you don't complain about something unless you plan to either a) provide a remedy to the problem or b) take action to fix an issue that can't be fixed by you. If you can't do a or b, you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem.

stagger, wonderful ideas!! Maybe someone will jump right on organizing your suggestions but in the meantime I will use a discussion board for what it is meant for - discussion of ideas with some potential solutions. Everyone expressing their ideas may not be on the same page but different ideas is what makes the world go around.

You know, I made a personal decision, today around 2:00pm, that I would remain calm for the next few days, post sparingly, and keep my thoughts to myself now that Coach Smith is creating his own blue chaos.
But, I can't refuse the obvious reply to "a few disgruntled fans". Has anyone noticed that we set an all time board record for the number of members/ viewers today? There were 48 people on this board at one time today- in response to a loss.....not a win. The game thread has had now 1,400 hits.......a losing game thread. I would venture to say that the majority of the people visiting today were not Smith supporters.
I can't tell you the exact number which would define "few". But, however many it is........there are more each day.

kj, I'm sure Barnhart's e-mail has a lot of "Drain Borroks" stuff too, and he didn't drain him.
stagger is right. People want Tubby gone... isn't the best way for that to happen if we lose games like we just did. Why then do these same people get mad when that happens, afterall he's more likely to "get fired" (in some sense) if we loses by 27 as opposed to winning by 27.

KT, I don't think there would be that many wanting Tubby gone if we were winning by 27. Some would, but not near the number there is now.
When Rick was here and we were feared by everyone there were still some that were happy to see him go.
This board as well as most other boards are filled with get rid of Tubby posts after a loss. They are also filled with hooray for Tubby posts after a huge win. It's all relative. That being said Tubby had better get this thing on track and get Kentucky back to being feared again soon or there will be a lot more get rid of Tubby threads.

In reality, I believe Tubby will have to something this year after the season. I don't think he will be leaving, but, just like Brooks was forced to do, Tubby will make some changes within the staff. Just to many things that are not going well. We all know what they are, and changing some or all of the assistants would be the logical step, IMO.
I hope the first step is an offensive genius that Tubby lets have the team at that end. As far as defense, Kansas is playing far and away better than UK, with a younger team in a rebuilding year when UK was supposedly talented enough to be considered final four worthy. Something is seriously wrong on that end too.
Either the players are just not that good, or they simply are not playing that good. If it is their play, I say bench them for someone whom wants to put out an all out effort.

I'm not advocating a coaching change or no change at all.....merely suggestion that the haters do something with their opinons besides constantly grip here, I'm giving them alternatives. Just wanted to clear that up.
KJ, get a stamp and write a letter. I'm sure the uk site has some addresses.

If you look at the members it is basically the same ones from 6 years ago, shoot some I recognize saying the same crap on "Eric's Wildcats Place" The same who helped destroy it. Now that is a fact, ED was posting majorly on that board. Spam and Grant(Tummygoat) should be recognizing those same names

Eric closed the place down on his own choice. He was tired of the infighting with the AD's not about what people posted. I know, I was there.

The demise of Erics is why this place is here.
It won't happen here. ;D
We are going to hit bumps in the road, and when we do there will be some calling for changes and venting their frustrations. There is no need however for us to bicker amongst ourselves. We all have opinions and should all feel free to voice that opinion so long as it is respectful to others.
Whether we want Tubby or don't has nothing to do with it. If you don't like what someone says about Tubby and have a rebuttal cool. Just be respectful and state your opinion. If you can't do it with respect to individuals then you need to find another board to post on.
I say that directed at no one and everyone. That includes me.

All these damn smoke screens about writing Barny, fans jumping on and off the Tubby Bandwagon relative to us winning or losing, Tubby making some changes on his staff, etc are a bunch of crap to me. All I know is that I'm fed up with the ineptitude of Tubby as a coach, we can't afford monetarily to get rid of him and we are stuck depending on what Orlando wants to do. I'm at the point of being bored stiff and frustrated enough to care less about what happens until Tubby is gone. One of the greatest loves in my life, THE KENTUCKY BASKETBALL PROGRAM, is gone as I knew it and I'm going to quit even being concerned about it. It's just wasted energy even talking about it.

Now Golf, I brought up changes within the coaching staff as my opinion as to what would happen, not what should happen.
The weather in the winter in Tenn and Kentucky has a lot to do with the frustration as far as I am concerned.
Hell, my son was riding jet skies yesterday in Texas while on a camping trip with friends. Been cold here in Frankfort. Certainly water sports are out the window. Camping is out the window as far as enjoyable weather.

I don't anyone that hates Tubby. Hate is a mighty strong word to use on a body. I don't care for the man as a coach and I think he could work better for another team. This hatin thing is too strong. Beat as I can tell, ain't nobody hatin Tubby on this board. Plenty don't like him or want him at Kentucky, but hatin him?

It's just wasted energy even talking about it. so if your wife gained 10 pounds, you wouldn't so much as acknowledge her until she lost the weight? supporting a team when it's winning and then abondoning it when it's having difficulties is the easy way out. it doesn't make you a fan, it makes you a bandwagoneer. some people need to reevaluate if they are a true UK fan or not. you can have your opinions and disagreements, but if you choose to support UK then you support UK as a whole, not just the players, not just the coaches, not just the managers, but the program as a whole. pointing fingers and not getting behind the team b/c of Tubby is silly. there was pointing fingers and people not getting behind the team concept on saturday and look how that turned out.
