Spam, you didnt miss anything. Same old record, or CD, or what ever. No emotion, no offensive movement, lousy defense, bad shots, you name it.

What can I say? I forgot the game was on while I was at work. Guess what. I don't care. It didn't bother me. I didn't mind missing the game. This is the first time I can remember feeling this way. Something's not right with this picture. Spam, I've known you via the message boards for about 5 years now. I've never seen you like this. I think you represent a microcosm of "half-full" UK fans that have had enough and grown numb. I feel your pain, man. But by this time next year, UK will be on the upswing with a new coach and a great class coming in if Coach Smith does the honorable thing and steps aside.

Uk basketball is a poor form of entertainment and has been.

Something's not right with this picture. Spam, I totally sympathize. I began to feel the same last season. After following the BigBlue faithfully since 1977, I had never felt that way. Through the Sutton years, through the violation years, through the years that I was overseas, I had never missed at least listening to every game. Now, I just can't get my spirits up for them. This season I have missed catching at least four UK games and the saddest thing was that it didn't upset me. Our coaching is flat, our team is flat, and our fanbase is beginning to become the same. Barnhardt needs to start listening.

Why would Barny listen? Rupp is still sold out every game, money continue to come in, the TV contract is still fat. Its all about the money, not the product.

Spam, I am shocked, but I shouldn't be surprised you feel the way you do. How could any true UK fan think otherwise than you. www.courier-journal.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20070218/SPORTS03/702180616/1002On Friday, Smith lamented his group's lack of toughness and said he's seeking tough players on the recruiting trail. But that's no change, Smith said. He's always tried to recruit tough players. So why doesn't this group of Wildcats -- with three juniors and three seniors -- possess the physical and mental toughness Smith seeks in a team? "We do have it," the coach said. "It's just a matter of bringing it out." I have never heard such crap as Tubby spats out of his mouth. Isn't it his job to get the toughness out of the players he has recruited? The problem is Tubby's recruiting, coaching and the staff he has chosen. www.courier-journal.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20070218/SPORTS03/702180557/1002/SPORTSWe always beat ourselves at the beginning of the game," UK center Randolph Morris said after the Cats' third straight loss. "It always takes us too long to start playing the way we need to. With that happening, we get down, and we always seem to fight our way back, and down the stretch … we don't execute at all." Isn't it Tubby's job to get the players prepared for each game? Isn't it Tubby's job to keep the players fired up after halftime. Same old crap game after game with a quality opponent. The only bright outlook for UK basketball is Tubby no longer being in charge. Tubby has need to go for years now. He should of never been hired in the first place. It will not be long and UNC and Kansas will be ahead of UK in number of total all time wins. First it was Sutton and now it is Tubby. Depressing to say the least.

But I won't miss them, I sat through much worse during the Kansas and IU games last year.

Not funny, it's embarrassing. I totally agree! Adolph is rolling over is his grave! I've had this pic up for a while, he's been rolling since 1998

What I can't understand is why it has taken so long for many to come to the realization that Tubby needs to go. The signs were all there, I guess a lot of people didn't pick up on them. I know that there are still many Tubby backers but the numbers are dwindling loss after loss. Bailey

Bailey it's a matter of looking for the best in a bad situation and holding out hope that you are right. Sometimes it works out other times it doesn't.
Many of us saw the signs, and hoped each season that things would get better. They haven't and indeed are getting worse. It's time for Tubby to step aside.

I now see that the excitment is gone. The coaching is stale. It is time for us to move on. It may also be the best thing for Tubby in the long run. He is in a rut and he has taken our team into it with him.

Lord knows I have tried to maintain my equilibrium on Tubby. I went nuts last year and swore I would never do that again. But watching these games either at Rupp or on TV is PAINFULL. The starters are soooo unemotional, the substitution patterns baffling, offensive sets abysmal, defense starting to fail, not to mention the lack of game adjustments. Ive watched this too long. I dont care if we win or lose, ( thats a lie ) I just want the 5 players on the court who will give maximum effort and desire.
