Not a gallup poll, but I was just curious.
In your opinion, do most UK fans want a change in coaching?

Most fans, for the most part uninformed, have been calling for Tubby's head for a while. Not saying Tubby shouldn't be gone, but they don't read message boards or get any kind of information about the program outside of the newspaper and the games. *shrug* not saying they are right or wrong, just answering the question.

Most people I have spoken with desire a change. The Head Coach is most often pointed out, for good reason. Most are tired of watching a staggnet offense and players that seem uninterested in playing. Recruiting has been a large issue also. With the addittion of Finney back on the trail, things are looking up in the recruiting area. Tubby just needs to loosen the reins of the offense or hire a "Offensive Coord." and let the young men play. But I also think that this kind of thing needs to talked about during the off season. See what happens on the remainder of this year, recruiting, NBA talk, ect.

I was at the LSU game and one fan said that he thinks Hobbs should go because he and Tubby are so much alike in Defensive minds. An offensive minded Assistant should come in---then I was speaking with one of the "ignorant" fans, he wanted Tubby gone, didn't offer any reasonable replacement, and when I mentioned Jai and Patrick- he was puzzled....go figure

Yes I want a coaching change. I support Tubby as a part of the team, but just as we each year start looking at who will be playing for UK I'm adding to that the question "who will be the coach at UK". The answer is probably Tubby, but I d think that the best for all involved is for Tubby to move on and let UK get back to being UK.

Ditto ^ It does not have to be messy. MB wait til 4 - 15 - 07 give him his bonus and let it go. By the way there are so many reasons to let Tubby go he probably stuttered to think of the thousands and had a brain freeze.....

If Tubby pulls in PP and Jai for the 07 class, he is back in my good graces. Those are the two positions that we have been struggling with for some time now....

Only if he can win with them. Hey people say it's his recruiting then argue he got the class of 04, then they say his recruiting is fine... well then he isn't coaching very well.
Either way it goes and no matter what side you are on, HE HAS TO WIN! This is UK not MEDIOCRE U. 10 loss seasons aren't going to cut it no matter who he recruits or how he coaches.

Here's an honest question for everyone that I want you to give some thought;
Would you rather have a coach that can recruit great talent or have a coach that develops great talent?
Sure, there a select few coaches who can do both, but it's rare.

I think that's easy. I think I would rather have a coach who can develop great talent. you can be talented when you get to college and then not be as good because everyone is better talented from what you saw in high school. But if a coach can help the player develop talent while in college, against college competition, then I would prefer that. Obviously, the kid must have "some" talent when coming to school.... but I think it would be better to have a good coach who can develop talent, rather than a good recruiter of talent.

All that horse was lacking was some muscle and a wake up call and not getting drafted did that. When you know your not going to get signed, you know you better do something. Tubby has not made a change in no one. Erik daniels and those guys of old were just players and came together to do what they did. I personally have lost ALL confidence in Tubby. :
