Here, regular unleade is $1.88 a gallon, and the premium is $2.08 a gallon. Im gonna start riding bicycles again or find me a good horse and buggy ! Seriously, we are going to have to find a more economical fuel or car,or something here in America, we are being held hostage at the pumps. ----- WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. average price for retail gasoline burst above the $2 a gallon threshold for the first time ever, jumping 7.6 cents over the last week to a record high $2.017 a gallon on Monday, the government said. The latest pump price for regular unleaded gasoline is up 52 cents from a year ago, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration's weekly survey of service stations. Fuel prices are rising because of strong demand for gasoline and high crude oil prices, which account for almost half the cost of gasoline. Crude oil traded at another record high on Monday at the New York Mercantile Exchange. The June contract reached $41.85 a barrel before ending the day at $41.55 a barrel. When adjusted for inflation in 2004 dollars, the highest price was $2.99 a gallon in March 1981, according to the EIA. The Energy Department's analytical arm has forecast that gasoline will peak at $2.03 a gallon in June, but it now appears the price may go higher. GAS

OPEC is holding us hostage, and it's time to switch to a hydrogen based economy. Unfortuneately for us, several of those "gentlemen" in Washington make millions off the oil business. And if they don't, I'm sure they get a few bucks from lobbyists.

So much for buying a new Yukon now. I may have to switch to the new Chrysler 300c or the Dodge Magnum RT. What really chaps my hide is the fact that we already have 'alternative' engines that can easily get 80 miles/gallon or power sources that use other types of fuel. So much for technological advancement eh?

Rumor has it and I believe that Nazi Germany did perfect a formula for "synthetic oil" to produce much needed fuel. It, however, was like their jet aircraft - developed to late!! Wonder what vault in Houston that is locked up in

They have a sale on these this week and Im gonna take a chance. For both, they were $168.00 and last 30,00 miles, the guy said they actually are doing better than 22%, more like 28%, so Im going to give it a shot. If they work, they should last almost 3 years and pay for themselves in 1. Here is the dtory and number if anyone else wants to try it out. They also ship C.O.D.------------

Thanks for those links spam , so I could read some more about them. I have ordered 1 each for my Ford F-150 extended cab pickup and our Dodge Caravan, If as good as advertised, they will pay for themselves I figure in about 9 months, or even sooner if gas continues to rise. If they dont, oh well, at least I took a shot
