Joe Dooley, Scott Rigot? What happened to the rumors of Williamson and Horn? Seems if Tubby goes with one of these guys he's doing a good job of keeping a lot of the team's efforts out of the media. In ways that's not so great because we want to know who's coming, but in other ways he's handling the media as the coach should by allowing the internal stuff of the bball team to be hidden until it should be known publicly. Are things changing down on campus?

:(Sorry but Joe Dooley just don't get it for me! In reading about his career, he's done NOTHING to warrant being hired as an Assistant at the Greatest Program In History! He's mediocre at best! What happened to Pooh? His offensive coaching ability seems to be a lot more in line with what UK needs! JMHO!

Dooley doesn't exactly sound like a ball of fire and his credentials don't get me all excited either. Thats not to say he's a bad guy or anything, but certainly nobody I would be hoping to see in the assistant coach seat.

Between the two I say Scott Rigot, because his is more than just recruiting. Our recruiting is not that bad and we need to work more on IMPROVING our current players. Rigot seems to do a better job with that than Dooley. Then again I think Horn or Williamson still my top choices. But I will be happy with whoever because I know Tubby is working really hard to get someone good.

Dooley sound exactly like what Tubby wants as an assistant. Hell, he hired Hobbs didn't he and that speaks volumnes about his choices. I am sorry, but I do NOT believe that Tubby has Kentuckys best interests in mind. Look at his track record at hiring assistants. You would THINK that a school as storied as Kentucky, the heade coach would seek the very best available to assist him in recruiting, game day coaching, practice and all around assistance. Have anyone of you SEEN that in tubbys tenure at UK? I have been around Kentucky basketball TOO MANY years to know ehen we have GOD assistants and when we have the same mediocrity that some other schools have and BELOW what some others have. IF we are to regain the status we once held as the very best in college basketball, then we HAVE to have the best assistants out there and we have HOBBS which is a failure now as he was when he was FIRED at Bama because of his WON/LOSS percentage. Ask tidalwave about Hobbs and he will give you the lowdown on his lack of coaching ability. I want Horn because he IS a Kentucky boy and is enthusiastic. Plus, he KNOWS what Kentucky basketball is all about. What it TAKES to be a Wildcat and what advantages it brings with wearing the BLUE/WHITE after your playing days are over. Dooley SUCKS IMHO LOOK at what happened to the individual teaching at UK after Hobbs was hired. OUT DA DOOR baby because Hobbs has NO clue about teaching young men and Dooley seems to fit that same mold

Good post busted. I dont think choosing Dooley is a bad choice because he is somewhat coveted, but like you I am really pulling for Horn or Williamson. Having Horn and The Rock would do so much for our teams in the future.

Tubby We Want The Rock!!!! Horn would be a great choice but he wouldnt go from being #2 to #4. Williamson would be a great choice also. ED

ED. WOULD Horn go DOWN if he were to come to UK OVER Marquette? I would think that coming to kentucky OVER Marquette even IF he had to come as a #4 assistant would be a step up since UK SEEMS to be poised to compete for a national title again. IF I had aspirations to become a head coach some day as I assume Horn does, and had the chance to be an assistant at the #1 school in the nation with the possibility of stepping up fast, {HOBBS may be gone after next season} I would jump on it like a frog on a junebug. But, then again, you may be right as it is just my feeling that Horn would be making an upward move
