The Kentucky Senior All-Stars got a pretty tough test from the group of Junior All-Stars Monday at Union County Middle School, but both sets of seniors came out on top. The senior boys claimed a 117-77 win, while the senior girls won 104-79. The seniors boys led just 40-32 at the half, but used a 19-0 run to pull away in the second half. “This was pretty good for our fist game playing against somebody else,” said Mr. Basketball Brandon Stockton. “We’ve got a lot of things to work on and we’ve still got a lot of coming together to do. We’ll be all right.” The juniors stayed close in the first half by dominating on the boards, but the seniors reversed that trend in the second half. “After the first half, we just stressed for the kids to keep hustling. To be honest, I thought the kids looked really sloppy,” said seniors coach Joe Bergamini. “After three days of practice, we were more concerned with the hustle and attitude and I was real happy with that.” Twelve of the 13 seniors scored at least seven points. University Heights graduate Ravi Moss and Bourbon County’s Preston LeMaster paced the seniors with 17 points each. More here

Good to see Moss and LeMaster succeeding. Stockton didn't do much though.

Listening to Paul Wilman in Louisville this morning and the Sr's. coach said he was pleasantly suprised how much of a team player Stockton was. Coach said he didn't look to score but to dish and run the team. He also noted that Stockton was asked to score in Bowling Green and that leading this team was much more important.
One other thing said was that Stockton was enrolled in summer school at UK and had missed some practice.

"Team player"....oh I how love to hear that description being given to an incoming recruit! Also like hearing that Stockton is already getting a jump on academics as well. After a less than stellar season last year, it is nice hearing lots of good things about our incoming class! 8)

Everything i hear so far about Stockton is that he is quite a person both on and off the Court, sort of like Hayes and Perry. We can't get enough of these type players:)

I think it was for the Derby tourney when Brandon, Kaz, and Cote were all on the same team and they were all noted to be very upbeat and getting teammates involved. Brandon and Kaz were also quoted as saying the same thing.
