The next commissioner of the SEC will have a tough job. How he will be able to convince the individual schools to stop cheating is beyond me. Since 1990, SEC schools have had 15 major violations.
This was recently written in the New York Post.
"Our friend Buddy the Bagman, a college basketball coach, offers this insight as to how 'crooked' programs close deals.
Small colleges: "The $100 handshake."
Mid majors: "A used Chevy Blazer with a fresh paint job."
National powers. "The coach tells the parents: 'We think you should put your house on the market. We think you should use this realtor.' Suddenly, the house sells for $200,000 more than other houses in the neighborhood."
What percentage of colleges is this coach talking about? No one knows?

I bet the SEC has had more violations than any conference in America.

I bet the SEC has had more violations than any conference in America. I would not doubt that one bit...And that is sad when it is the best Conference there is!

I thought I read somewhere that it was Football causing the bulk of the violations, leave it to a East Coast Rag to say it was basketball. ED
