The biggest mistake high school players make is going to a school where they have no chance of playing. There are thousands of very good players who never played. Someone has to sit on the bench. Too many players wake up at the age of 25 or 30 and regret not going to a school where they could have played.
By going to Union, Sears can be the best player and captain. At UK, although he believes he never received a fair chance, Tubby was always going to bring in better athletes.

Good article. Cutler is right about Cory which is a surprise coming from him. He's a hit and miss kind of analyst.

Never given a fair chance, eh? No wonder, he didn't have the skills to deserve a fair chance.

I wish Sears good fortune, but my hat is not off to him. He was a factor in team turmoil.

I tend to agree with you DDS...which is I wish Sears well, but I think his departure is a BIG positive for us.

I wish Cory the best of luck. I feel that he probably has more respect for the Uk program than some of those still on the team. He may not have had the greatest talent but he was wooed to some extent by Tubby. Case of Tubby eliminating some distractions and getting rid of those that cause the least harm while forgiving others repeatedly. imo Hope Tubby does better with his personnel this year, couldn't get a lot worse.

I agree with most everyone, but I really felt for a poster on KSR who is a cousin of Cory's and had to read a lot of the crap that was posted on there about him. Wish you much luck at UNion, Cory.
