Funny how Tubby never called to ask my opinion, but, as we write this column, there is an opening on his staff. I'm a big fan of Darrin Horn.
Horn, who was an academic All-American at Western Kentucky and led the Hilltoppers to four consecutive post season appearances, played on a great passing team in high school, Lexington's Tates Creek.
Many consider Horn one of the brightest young assistant coaches in America. Currently at Marquette, he is considered a can't-miss future head coach. Could be a great hire for Tubby.

Just from the little dab of reading I did on them, I liked Horn the best too. But I thought I read he was not interested, no longer candidate or something like that. I had pretty much wrote him off.

I do agree Horn would be a great asset to the coaching staff. I, however, do not find it odd in the least bit that Tubby neglected to call ol' Alan for advice!

Nice to see you BJ! I think Horn would be a good candidate. I think Alvin would also be a good choice. Tubby on vacation?

Thats how I have heard it too Kitty. Why should he go from #2 to #3 Asst. coach? I wouldnt blame him at all even though UK is a more high profile program that sends many to Head Coaching positions my belief 2 or 3 seasons at UK he could get a High profile Head Coaching position.
