A coach and player with UK connections participated in the USA Basketball Men's Junior National Team Trials this weekend in Colorado Springs, Colo.
Mark Nelson, who coached UK recruit Antwain Barbour at Wabash Valley College last season, was one of the coaches.
One of the players was Bobby Perry, the high school senior-to-be next season from Durham, N.C., who committed to UK last month.
Coincidentally or not, UK Coach Tubby Smith is a member of the committee that selected players and coaches for the trials.
