In less than two weeks, new Kentucky women's basketball coach Mickie DeMoss has gotten verbal commitments from two Top-40 players in the country. The latest, Samantha Mahoney, is considered the top girls' basketball player in Michigan. The 5-foot-9 shooting guard from West Bloomfield High School outside Detroit is ranked No. 38 by one recruiting service. "Sam had a really good summer," said Bret McCormick, a recruiting analyst for the All-Star Girls Report. "She's a great player. She's physically strong and really athletic. She's a serious scoring threat when she has the ball."

Oh, Kentucky Women's Basketball. Pretty soon, it will be time to start their own forum. They are going to be the real deal in a few years and a basketball powerhouse will emerge.
PS...you think she could show Tubby a few things about recruiting? Afterall she might win a national championship before him at the rate she is going of getting all these recruits.

I can understand why this is appealing to recruits. They are going to be a role player on any team they go to, but to be the player that was integral to bringing a team into competitive play for a championship...that would be great. You have a huge opportunity to set some school records and have your name become a household name in the Commonwealth.
