Senior center SeSe Helm was named the Southeastern Conference Player of the Week for her back-to-back 20-point performances and a combined 29 rebounds in Kentucky’s first two games. The Bowling Green native has helped lead Kentucky to a 2-0 start in Mickie DeMoss's first season as head coach with wins over IPFW and Northwestern. She charted her ninth career double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds in UK's season opener versus IPFW and followed that performance with 20 points and nine rebounds against Northwestern. Helm is shooting 60.7 percent from the floor and is averaging 20 points and 9.5 rebounds per game. kentucky.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=240749

SHe's always been good. SHe's going to be SEC 1st team this year I think and perhaps contend for POY. Great thing is when she leaves we have Elliott replacing her so this position is in great hands for a long time.

Congratulations to SeSe Helm. Anybody that can have back to back 20 point games and get 19 rebounds deserves to be Player of the Week.
Hopefully, SeSe can continue to play this well throughout the whole season.
