Tennessee took advantage of two costly Kentucky errors and scored nine runs in the bottom of the first inning, en route to a 15-9 win over the Wildcats on Sunday in Knoxville. The loss was Kentucky’s eighth in a row and seventh consecutive in Southeastern Conference play. The bottom of the first started with UT leadoff hitter Josh Alley reaching on a Kentucky error, followed by three consecutive singles and another error. An Alex Suarez single scored two runs and made it a 5-1 contest. UK starter Craig Snipp (1-4) was a victim of porous defense and was chased from the mound without recording an out. When the dust had settled in the inning, the Vols had sent 14 hitters to the plate with each of the first seven scoring. Link
