No. 22 Kentucky turned a dismal early performance into a stunning come-from-behind win, as the Cats claimed an improbable 4-3 victory over No. 17 Tennessee Sunday at the UT Varsity Courts in Knoxville. The Vols garnered early momentum by capturing the doubles point in a tiebreaker at the No. 1 position. UT increased its lead to 2-0 when Kiril Tcherveniachki defeated UK freshman Jason Mallaiah at the No. 5 singles slot by a 6-2, 6-1 count. UK junior Jesse Witten cut the lead in half at No. 1 singles by battling for a 7-5 first-set win before blanking Simon Rea in the second set. Tennessee added to its lead once more at No.2 when Ockie Oosthuizen posted a 6-2, 7-5 win at No. 2 over senior Evan Austin. Link
