For the first time, the Wildcats will have two nationally televised contests during the 2006-07 regular season. Kentucky travels to Columbus, Ohio, for a showdown with Ohio State on Jan. 6 that will be nationally televised as part of a women’s basketball tripleheader on CBS. The Wildcats also meet Tennessee in Knoxville, Tenn., on Feb. 11 in a contest that will be televised live on espn2 for February Frenzy. Last season, UK posted an historic win over the top-ranked Lady Vols in Rupp Arena, marking only the fourth time in NCAA Division I women’s basketball history that an unranked team defeated a top-ranked foe.

Yeah, I definitely want to watch those games. As Coach DeMoss said the culture of the program has really changed. I can name a good majority of the players on the team. No offense to Coach Bernadette Maddox (who's coached in two WNBA Finals and 3 Eastern Confernece finals since she left here for the WNBA's Connecticut Sun), but when Coach Mattox was here I couldn't name you more than just about one or two players. I'm excited for our ladies. I think we must maintain this consistency. Eventually we're brake into the league's top 3 in my opinion which has been held down by Tennessee, LSU, and Georgia for so long now.
