Jamie Braun scored a game-high 18 points to lead Indiana to a 54-51 upset over the No. 15 University of Kentucky in the championship game of the four-team Women's Sports Foundation Tournament on Sunday. Braun, who had eight first-half points, scored the Hoosiers' final seven points and added nine rebounds. With the game tied 47-47, Braun hit consecutive 3-pointers putting the Hoosiers ahead for good. IU's Carrie Smith, who finished with 10 points and six rebounds, left the game with less than nine minutes remaining after banging her left knee and didn't return. It was IU's (2-0) sixth straight victory against UK (1-1), which opened the season ranked in the preseason poll for the first time in school history. www.ukathletics.com/index.php?s=&url_channel_id=46&url_article_id=18849&change_well_id=2
