With over 1,500 members on this board it's not as easy for me to keep my mind straight on just who is who anymore. From time to time, I like doing this to keep things fresh and maybe discover a little more about those I've never met. So, let's all take a little break from it all and re-introduce each other. It goes something like this...... My name is Mitch Cundiff. I'm a 41 years old. I'm prior service US Navy where I was a nuclear technician. I have spent the last 14 years teaching at the Russellville Area Technology Center. My wife, Dana(also a teacher), and I met on a blind date many years ago and have been inseparable since. Sadly, we are not able to have children. We are very active in our church and annually attend mission trips working with the Otoe Indian tribes in Oklahoma. My hobbies include antique/muscle vehicle restoration, machining, woodworking, reading, and landscaping. My musical tastes very too much to describe, however I must say that the 90's grunge era has to be my favorite. I am a conservative who votes accordingly. I believe in God, strong work ethic, patriotism, and true equity for all. My greatest joys include time with my family, a meaningful movie, spell-check, and witty conversation. My personal "pet-peeves" are noisy eaters, dentists, personal agendas, reality TV shows, wasted opportunities, and arrogance. Who's next?

I'm 26 years old, born and raised in Daviess County, Kentucky. After high school I immediately joined the Navy where I worked as an Avionics Technician. I served four years and was deployed twice, the second deployment was during Operation Iraqi Freedom.
After my enlistment I decided to stay in beautiful San Diego and attend college. For the duration of my college career I have been working at the Mission Bay Aquatics Center as the Lead Sailing Instructor (a skill I learned on Kentucky Lake!). I've also been in the Naval Reserves.
I graduate college in two weeks with a BS in Aerospace Engineering. Now I'm interviewing with local aerospace companies. I've had a few good interviews and hopefully I'll be getting some good news soon.
I'm single and enjoying the bachelors life. I have a lot of good friends from work and school that I like to kick it with. I live 6 blocks from the beach and enjoy surfing, sailing, cycling, and of course UK Basketball!!!

My name is John Doyle, and I live in Franklin KY. with my wife of 17 years and my two children. I was born in Germany where my dad was stationed back in 1962, but for most of my life have lived somewhere in Kentucky.
Never served in the military and was fortunate enough to land a job with a great company only 6 months out of highschool. I've been with this same company now for 27 years and hope to retire from here.
Like Mitch in the original post I too am a conservative. I vote Republican at the national level because of my moral beliefs, but have been known to vote for a democrat on the local level where my social beliefs won't be compromised.
My interests are varied. I love the Cats of course, but I also like landscaping, computers, computer gaming (WoW in particular), as well as many others.
I've been a Maniac now for about 4 years and have seen both the good years and the bad years on this board. Most of you I'm familiar with and have had some good debates with. Keep it coming; I love it.

I'm Andy, 31, live in Southern Illinois with my wife of 5 years and our 2 1/2 year old son. I do marketing for an Internet provider/rural telephone company, which means I write radio ads, create newspaper ads and handle any company to public communication. I've spent a few years living in Missouri and the God-forsaken state of Indiana, but keep winding up back in Illinois (land of the corrupt and inept state government). The good thing about being back in Illinois....closer to family. The bad....I can't get the Bob and Tom show anymore.
As far as political alignments, I don't really have any because both parties suck. I look at liberals and see finger pointing and whining and I look at conservatives and see people touting morality just before they get caught having gay sex in a bathroom stall. I'm not a fan, in general, of any group, political or not, saying "our way is right and if you aren't with us then your >insert insult here<". I probably won't vote this year, because I don't believe you should vote for something simply because it's the lesser of two evils. That's not a REAL choice.
I'm balding (starting going gray at 19) and it sucks, so a few years ago I started shaving my head clean, so I got the Stone Cold Steve Austin look going. I love to listen to music, I can hang with country, but I can't go too long without my mid-90's alternative music (Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, RATM, etc). TOOL is my absolute favorite, I rarely go a day without hearing one of their songs. When I'm home alone, I like to grab my headphones and play on my dad's drum kit. Sadly, my son gets more playing time than I do so I'm WAY out of practice.
Outside of the Cats, I root for the Houston Astros, the Minnesota Vikings (thought I was gonna say "gophers", didn't you) and the Pittsburg Steelers.....I can never be accused of being a "homer". I don't do golf or Nascar....don't see either one as a sport, rather a skill. I won't miss an episode of Lost, Boston Legal or South Park. I'm trying to read more, I recently got a copy of "A Clockwork Orange" from the library but haven't had the time to dive in like I want. And apparently, I ramble.........

My name is David Elswick. I live in Louisville, as I have for almost all of my life. I'm 39 years old and a systems analyst for a large health insurance company. I work from home because my company's headquarters are in VA. I'm a father of 2 great children. I have joint custody, so they're with me half of the time. I still run full court basketball every week and get in about 2 leagues a year. My hobbies are comic art, music, and writing. Musically, I love classic rock, new rock, some bluegrass, some country, and I have listened to contemporary Christian music, or Christian rock, almost since it's beginning. I am also a conservative. This is because of my faith in God and America's history. I do sometimes wonder if a conservative will have a true home in any political party in a few years.
I have been a UK fan all of my life. My family is true Big Blue going back many decades. My dad is originally from the eastern part of the state. nuff' said

Well, I guess I'll jump in also.
Timothy May. 37 years old. Been a Registered Nurse (yes, a dude nurse lol) for over 11 years. Most of those years spent on long term care units, including stents as supervisor and MDS coordinator but for the past couple of years I've worked the medical/surgical floors. LOVE my job (for the most part) and will continue my education to the Masters level. At least, that's the plan.
I'm a divorced father of one. My daughter was born in 98. That's right. The last year the Cats won it all. Like David, I have joint custody and am blessed to have the opportunity to keep my daughter with me on my days off ... and then some. I enjoy the single life very much. It helps to work in a field where the male/female ratio is unspeakable lol. ;D
Like many, my love of music started at a very young age. I guess my father got me started off as he was a HUGE fan of Credence Clearwater Revival and that love passed to me. It wasn't long thereafter until I took out on my own. Before I was at the age of 10, I was a member of the KISS Army and sported every poster, comic, lunchbox ect I could find. God of Thunder was my jam and I wore out the Destroyer 8 track 3 times lol. MTV had yet to air and music videos were things of the future. Soon came my introduction to Black Sababth and Ozzy Osbourne and I've been an avid fan ever since. This took me into the metal world. Hard rock, hair bands, the british invasion and thrash metal rounded out my teen years. Not much these days to compare other than Disturbed and some Nickelback tracks.
I don't really like to discuss politics so I'll leave this one alone.
Television - I'm a HUGE Soprano's fan. I also enjoy shows like Jackass, Home Improvement, Scrubs and Mythbusters.
Movies - Really, too many to list but I'll name a few. Goodfellas, Rocky, Radio, Sergeant York, The Ten Commandments etc etc.

I don't think anyone has checked this in a while, but I have a few amendments to make to my bio. Like I mentioned above, in May I graduated from SDSU with a BS in Aerospace Engineering. In June I found myself a nice job with Northrop Grumman here in San Diego. I am an engineer on the Global Hawk program. Three months here and its going great! I am also still working occasionally at the Aquatic Center teaching sailing. Also, I'm still in the Naval Reserves.
