But stagger, if we didn't eat pigs and chickens we also wouldn't breed them the way we do. They would go about reproducing themselves, not the way farmers do it now, which is to increase their yeild so as to make the most money. Besides, if these animals were in the wild, they would have their own natural predators to keep their numbers at a reasonable level. Nature has its own way of working things out. I would argue that in this case nature would have trouble. You can not simply add that many of a species into a habitat that can't meet all of the food demands. The majority of those chickens would die of starvation.

The majority of those chickens would die of starvation. I would argue that many because humans wouldn't continue to produce them at the enormous rate we do now. If we hadn't bred chickens to reproduce in the greatest of numbers for all these years, there wouldn't be that many. And besides, this is getting completely off the Michael Vick topic.

msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/7145164Looks like the government is gonna go ahead and kill the 50 pit bulls seized becuase its the "humane" thing to do. Hmm same fate as they would have had before the government stepped in. And not that I like Stephon Marbury, but he has even come out and defended Vick just as Clinton Portis did before he was forced to retract his statement.

Unfortunately, this is the only option. They were trained to attack other dogs, and that is what they will do. You just can't take a chance adopting a dog like that. But, at least the dogs spent their last months of life away from harm and can die in the most humane way possible, instead of being killed by another dog or hanged or drowned.
