Dallas, TX (Betting Express) - Veteran center Jamaal Magloire, who was waived by New Jersey on Friday, has signed with the Dallas Mavericks. The Nets had signed Magloire to a contract in July, but he averaged only 1.8 points and 3.4 rebounds in 24 games. The 29-year-old veteran, and 2004 All- Star selection, averaged 6.5 points and 6.1 rebounds in 81 games for the Portland Trail Blazers last season.
Magloire, who was selected with the 19th overall pick in the 2000 NBA Draft by the Charlotte Hornets out of Kentucky, is averaging 8.7 points and 7.3 rebounds per game over seven seasons with Charlotte/New Orleans, Milwaukee and Portland.

They got him to tango with Shaq in the playoffs. good thinking stagger. He is getting older and slower and has a hard time keeping up with some of the young PF's. He should be much more valuable playing against O'Neil.
