Tac Minor finally came to play at the Nike Peach Jam. In the first five games of pool play he remained uncharacteristically quiet on the court leaving those who were watching wondering if the hype around him was a little too much. But in this afternoon?s match up against the Illinois Warriors, Minor silenced those who doubted. At first glance of his stats, he looked like he had a good tournament. Minor averaged 11.4 points per game during pool play off of 38% shooting. But after shining at the USA Junior Basketball Festival in Colorado a couple of weeks ago, the bar was set high in our eyes. He averaged over 20 points and 5 rebounds in five games there. basketballphenoms.com/

Is this kid the Taurean Minor that is a 6'0" point guard or is he some other kid that plays the two? I would be shocked if we offered or signed a 6'0" point for 2003. I would be more shocked he one would come in 2003 with the knowledge that they would definately be sitting behind Hawkins

UK will be lucky to come away with Alleyne from that group. Hear very little interest in the Cats from anyone else in that bunch.

As time goes by. I gotta agree with you there, kj. I don't think we will get Villanueva or Powe at this point and I don't know if we are really pursuing the other players listed. Certainly not a point guard for that class, although a two could be used. The power forward recruiting has shifted elsewhere. I still think we will definately be trying to sign Alleyne

I agree Jim. Charlie V. WILL be going NBA. Powe I feel is going to stay in the west. Minor could be a possibility to create fire at the PG position and I've heard nothing but Raves about him so if UK has a chance I say why not. I think UK could still have a shot at Ariza. Our chances with Alleyne is very good since there are some in his camp that favor UK(his H.S coach and there is another male figure but cant remember if it was his Dad or Uncle). ED
