BP: Who are your current leaders? CV: I don't have one right now. I'm open right now, but when ABCD is over I will make my list, which will contain three schools. basketballphenoms.com/cvinterview.htm

What gives you that impression, Spam? Obviously we are gonna sign a 4 and a 5. He fits the bill for the 4 and Alleyne is looking like a good possibility at the five. Villanueva should be our focus for the 03 class. The crown jewel of the class for us if we sign him

From this mornings LHL: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- - • Charlie Villanueva, 6-10, 215, Blairstown, N.J.
Kentucky made a recruiting pitch. But Villanueva, a Drew Gooden play-a-like, said no thanks. "I didn't know much about them, to be honest," said Villanueva, rated No. 13 by Prep Stars. Hey, Charlie, you can catch the Cats on TV. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Cats prowl for big men, find camps fully stocked.

"I didn't know much about them, to be honest," said Villanueva, rated No. 13 by Prep Stars. Just goes to show you how FAR Kentucky has slipped the past three years. I can remember when Kentucky was known by every HS kid. Seems to me that the recruiting pitch made to him was NOT impressive and makes me wonder just who in the hell did recruit him to begin with IF he does'nt know TOO much about UK. Another thing that bothered me was the comment made by James Lang a 6'10" 300 pounder from Alabama who said that he REALLY liked Pitino becauser HE DID NOT GIVE UP ON HIS PLAYERS. Also, the kid from Miss. {BUTLER} is recieving advice from Komara and we KNOW what he thinks about Kentucky don't we.

Obviously this sucks, but the "I don't know much about Kentucky" thing may have been taken out of context since he said in an interview last week that He had had lunch with Coach Smith and really liked him and was considering Kentucky because he believed that Coach Smith could help him getting to the next level. But, regardless, this sucks. I feel positive about Alleyne, but I am at a loss to foresee who we will sign at the 4 in 2003

On Tony Cruise last night they said that Villanueva was still listing Kentucky and the quote "I don't really know that much about them" was not talking about Kentucky, he was misquoted because somebody had asked him about Louisville and he said that he did not know that much about THEM. Time will tell

Could be true Jim. damn near EVERY news source attempts to smear Kentucky whenever they get the chance. Charlie V would be a good recruit for UK no doubt. Lets see how good our new recruiter can be. Work your magic my man, work it. But, then again Jim, THIS comment by Gooden==Kentucky made a recruiting pitch. But Villanueva, a Drew Gooden play-a-like, said no thanks. would make me nervous since He made the comment about Memphis and Elvis. LOL

He should know about Kentucky...he made a visit here or something because I remember him saying stuff about Tubby and our program.
I have a really good feeling about Rigot. I really feel he's one of the best recruiters in the nation. Hawaii attracts tourists, but not necessarily basketball players and he did a pretty good job there. We'll see how good he is, but I have a good inkling that he's going to be the best recruiter in Tubby's Era.

What I was talking about was the GOODEN Comparison. Remember what he said when asked about Elvis's birthplace and he said that he thought that it was in TENN&*($^EE instead of Memphis? LOL hell of a History student ain't he.

I know the recruiting sites still has UK listed. But my feelings on him have changed, and Tubbys might have to. There is alot of NBA talk coming out of the Camps. I have a feeling he might just make the jump. I did read in one of the camp news that he said he will be looking at the chance of going into the NBA after HS. ED (' ')
