One of the best high school basketball players at the Nike All-America Camp, which began yesterday at Indiana-Purdue at Indianapolis, said he's very interested in attending the University of Kentucky. Sophomore-to-be Eric Price of Montrose Christian School in Silver Springs, Md., said he likely won't commit to a school too early. But he said he definitely is looking at the Wildcats, who got a commitment from junior-to-be Adam Williams of West Virginia last week. ''I like coach (Tubby) Smith,'' he said. ''I'm also looking at Duke and Maryland. But really, it's too early to rule anything out. I just want to come here and try to play my best.'' Price transferred to Montrose last year and repeated the ninth grade. He's ranked No. 2 in his class by Hoop Scoop.

I read that online also, the crazy thing is that they used him in their headline and then they failed to mention his size and what position he played. Why?

He is a 6'0" point guard and every ranking I found of him had him no worse than top 6 nationally in his class

What kind of kid is he? Grades? Character?
Is he a good shooter or slasher or what?

Obviously his grades are not that great. I have an old ranking (just prior to last seasons beginning) and he is rated the 7th best in the class of 2004 (the point guard class) and the 3rd best point guard in the class. He was supposed to be a junior this coming year, but he got held back and will now only be a sophomore. But they say he is a great floor leader and he dishes it out, scores and even rebounds. We need a point guard for 2004 and if we sign one this could hurt our chances with this kid since he has now dropped to the class of 2005. I have a question...if you get held back, can you ever graduate on time again. I mean, could this kid end up getting back into the class of 2004? He would be a hell of a point then. Maryland and Duke are his other favorite schools. Maryland would seem to be out since they just signed Gilchrist (a hell of a point) and this kid would have to sit behind him. Duke also just signed a good point guard in the 2004 class. So if we want him we would seem to have the inside track. Very very interesting

well, the last I heard was that we were PROBABLY going to get Brown, so that would keep us in point guard stability until 2005 wouldn't it? OR, is Brown a two year and NBA type of player? I refuse to pass judgement on ANY HS kid until AFTER I see him go head to head with good Div 1 players. IF he ain't got it, he will have his hat handed to him real fast like.
