I also remember reading recently that Coach Smith has been recruiting even harder this summer than ever.
This seems to imply that he sorta screwed around the last few years in the recruiting department to me. And, with some of the players we did get, it kind of validates that he did.

Very glad to see this . I know I've been seeing alot of posts on the MBs saying he wasnt listing us. I was starting to get upset with the recruiting sites because he was still listing UK according to the sites. UK has got a good chance with him. ED

You can add Carruth to that list as well Jim. Why Heck, just how FAR has ANY of tubbys recruits taken us anyway? Oh, how about Sears or Heisenbuttel. Heisenbuttle was better than Sears and Sears had a scholorship. Kinda like a Carlos Toomer Pitino recruit. You are NOT dumb Jim and you KNOW that the recruiting at Kentucky has taken a downward spiral the past three years. Where we ONCE had most every blue chip hs'er on their list, we have fallen to having to take kids that we normally would have never recruited to begin with, with a FEW exceptions like Prince. That is what I meant when I posted what I did about Tubby.

Well, Darius Rice did screw us and we were unfortunate when Allison transferred. We were lucky to get Daniels and Fitch on such short notice. I won't begrudge Smith for liking Chiles' game. Carrier was probably a mistake, but Sears being on scholarship, I mean, we had an extra one and he was going to walk-on anyway and Smith was nice enough to let him have it for one year. It was never that Sears was offered a scholarship to come to Kentucky. But I believe things are looking up. [/i]
