The Longhorn basketball program has received another shot to the gut.
Myck Kabongo, the gifted point guard from Canada who was supposed to sign with the Longhorns, told ESPN.com that he has broken his commitment.
Kabongo, widely regarded as the second-best point guard in the class of 2011, is the second player who has reneged on a commitment to Texas. DeAndre Daniels, a forward from the Los Angeles area, also broke his commitment.
Kabongo, who plays at Findlay Prep in Henderson, Nev., said he would still consider signing with Texas. But he also is looking at Syracuse, Duke, Kentucky and North Carolina.
Kabongo told ESPN.com he is 60 percent sure he will sign in the spring instead of in the fall.
Two of his AAU teammates from Toronto, Tristan Thompson and Cory Joseph, are Longhorn freshmen.
Kabongo said he wants to give himself the best chance to win big. Rumors spread during the summer that he might go to Duke to play with shooting guard Austin Rivers, also in the class of 2011.
Kabongo did say he likes the fact that Texas coach Rick Barnes has sent point guards to the NBA.

If Kabongo wants to win BIG he should come to Kentucky.. Just imagine a recruiting class of:
Davis, Gillchrist, Teague, Wiljer, Kabongo and Daniels... I also like Lacey.. Either way I bet we'll add at least one more quality stud to our allready potent 2011 class.
Ok, I'll stop dreaming now.....

i don't think we need or will add anyone else to the class unless we get a center, every other position is covered
