In what was a strange recruiting saga last year, Kentucky came away with a three-star defensive tackle just prior to the season starting as Elliott Porter was left hanging by LSU coaches, who had taken too many commitments. Porter jumped to Lexington, where he redshirted last season. Now, he’s jumped again. According to Shea Dixon of LSU’s Scout.com site, Porter has enrolled at LSU for the spring semester, bringing his UK career to an end after exactly zero snaps. While this is apparently all fine and good by NCAA rules, the situation will likely have a stinky odor to it for Cats fans, who enjoyed the rare football surprise in the fall when Porter picked UK over Oregon, Texas A&M and Tennessee in his second round of recruiting.
