LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) -- Former NBA guard and Kentucky assistant coach Rod Strickland was arrested near the Kentucky campus Thursday and charged with driving on a DUI suspended license. Strickland, 46, was also charged with not having registered license plates and failure to signal. The university said in a statement that Strickland was pulled over while driving to work and it was looking into the possibility that there was a clerical error regarding the license. Strickland pleaded guilty in 2010 to driving under the influence and his driver's license was suspended for 12 months. Strickland joined the Kentucky staff as an assistant coach before the 2009-10 season, coming with coach John Calipari from Memphis.

Only read where he was pulled over for whatever minor traffic offense and supposedly was driving on a DUI suspended license. Not DUI.

NO DUI. NO suspended license.
Nothing to see with this Rod Strickland arrest. Pulled over for failure to signal a turn.
Further investigation revealed the license was not suspended, a clerical error.
I believe the thread title is a little harsh!!!

SeattleKat brought this to my attention that I may have been too harsh on coach Strickland. After further review, SK was right and I would like to apologize to coach Strickland and the members of Wildcat Maniacs for jumping the gun. See, I'm not afraid to eat crow. LOL!!!
