Kyle Wiltjer has NO intention of leaving Kentucky. He plans to return next year!

I think it's a win-win situation. Kyle is not NBA-ready by any stretch of the imagination and UK can use his experience next year with the new crop coming in. I don't think Kyle is a very strong leader, but I do think having "been through the battles" the past 2 seasons will make him a valuable component to the 2013-14 Cats!

I like this news. I don't think Kyle is going to have nearly the minutes he had this season, but that might actually be a good thing for him. If he could just learn to be a better defender he'd see plenty of time. I know he's slow but that doesn't mean he can't be a good defender. Larry Bird was slow too, but he knew how to play position defense as good as anyone and used his intellect to his advantage. Bird was a master at knowing where the ball was going to go, and played the passing lanes as good as anyone. Kyle could learn a lot from Larry.

I think Kyle will be a starter honestly.....He's a smart kid and knows what he needs to work on in the off season, we all know he can shoot but i think if he could put just alil bulk on his body he could put his UNBELIEVABLE post moves to good use.....I just wish Willie had the post moves Kyle has.....imagine Willie with that little baby hook

Kyle just doesn't move his feet well at all on defense and if the incoming freshmen decide to take pride in defending the ball, Kyle might see extended time on the bench. Now if he comes in as the 6th man and knocks down his first couple of shots, he would probably get more time in such a game regardless of defense because when he is hot, he is HOT.
