Not so sure that this is a good thing. Having Poythress could discourage Wiggins from coming. We would be the loser should that happen.

Yes, getting Wiggins would be great, but I believe we are in great shape even if he goes elsewhere. Further, having (at least) 6 AA's coming in will provide a HUGE leap in competition on the team and getting benched will be a very real threat this upcoming season. Players WILL perform or players will sit. Didn't quite have that luxury this year. I like that we actually have some experience returning even if this year's team was not as successful as we had hoped.

Just can't figure out anything that Poythress can do that Wiggins can't do better.
Experience? I think Wiggins can stand and watch just as good as Poythress does. Maybe Poythress can do a better job of cheer leading from the bench. IDK

I dont see ANY negative in this.....Alex has only scratched the surface of what he is capable of and i honestly believe Archie and Ryan leaving was the best thing that could've happened to Alex.

I know Alex didn't perform consistently up to his abilities. I get that. But I also think he did show tremendous talent from time to time. When he really got his head in the game and put forth effort, he was an absolute beast. Again, I think it was easy to get "lazy" though as he was more than likely going to remain in games regardless since there wasn't anything with more potential talent on the bench. That will not be the case next year: you will perform or you will sit.

Wiggins might be better than Poythress or perhaps not. The hype is there, but that doesn't mean he's going to be a great college player. Now if I had to bet I'd bet that he is, but you never know until they hit the floor. Alex has the potential to be a guy that can take over a game and score 20 points in a short period of time. He started the season out strong, but something happened and he regressed instead of developing a killer instinct. My hope is that he gets his mojo and shows everyone just how good he really is. I think we'll see a much improved Poythress the up coming season.

That's what they call "depth". We need it.
