I am totally behind our president on this. of course, I'm conservative so i always do. But I really think we have no other choice, and that this is the right one to make. So, God bless our troops and kick some Saddam Insane butt!

The time for diplomacy has passed. No matter where you stand on the war with Iraq, it's time to stop the debates on should we or shouldn't we and just support our troops.

JMO I think one can be questioning "should we or shouldn't we" and STILL support our troops. After all, they are not the ones responsible for this mess, but bless them, they are there to do what our President says regardless of whether or not they agree with his decision. I applaud the troops. I do NOT applaud Bush.

JMO Saddam Hussein is not a man of peace. He is a dictator bent on war. The only question is whether we will be reactive or pro-active in preventing him from using the weapons of mass destruction it is now clear he has obtained/created. I applaud Bush and support our troops.

A warning....this will be lengthy. While I very much agree that it is possible and important to support our troops and still not agree with our Commander In Chief....I think one thing is important. I urge everyone to research and carefully weigh the facts before a personal stance is chosen. Sometimes, I get so frustrated when I hear blanket assumptions that are thrown out there that often affects other people's reasoning..... comments from both sides of the equation like, "Bush(which should be President Bush) is a war-monger" or "He has a score to settle for daddy" or on the contrary, "Kill 'em all and let God sort them out". I guess sometimes, I take it for granted that I do, in fact, get insider information from my military contacts and old friends. Some of the data is sensative and I can't always share it with everyone. Never-the-less, one doesn't need insider info, just the worldly facts at hand. The somber fact is that the present world is not a safe, secure or happy one. Drastic realities call for drastic actions. There are necessary evils that must be carried-out to ensure our "comfy little couches". Today, I overheard one of my students commenting about how they could enjoy the NCAA games with all that is going on. Another teacher was experiencing feelings of guilt(of enjoyment) while he was completing his brackets. This is my opinion offered to you....while we might feel guilty knowing that others are facing imperative danger as we enjoy life's pleasures, we should not. We should, instead, feel the appreciation that we can because others are facing that danger. I've spent years in countries where that appreciation is totally alien and uncomprehensible. Are we(the U.S.A.) waging war for fame, for a show of power, or because of a personal vendetta? I urge you not to be ignorant. No, it's for the personal safety and the continuance of freedoms for us and all peoples of the world. It's 8:33, and the news has just broke of the possible beginning... Air raid sirens are sounding in Baghdad as I type this.... Think about what is at hand people and appreciate what we all could lose at the hands of a madman. God Bless the USA.

I too have had the pleasure, AT TIMES, to spend time in many other Countries and believe me, I would NOT trade my Country for any I have either lived in, visited or worked in and I have lived in and visited some that are very peaceful, but do not have the liberties we have here in the USA. Switzerland, Austria, Bavaria? Countries that are very nice but NOT like home. Darn near anywhere in Central America is dangerous and unpleasant things can and do happen to visitors there. Same as my other home in Mindanao, Southern Philippines, sometimes called the "Pearl of the Orient." Can't go back home because of terrorists there. Germany, where I graduated high school and attended the University of Heidleberg is a nice place to visit as is many other places in Europe. Japan where I lived for over 3 years is hell bent on destruction. China where you don't know what the HEY is happening, but good food Would I trade my little bit of paradise here at Lake Cumberland for any of that? Heck no I wouldn't. So, support our troops is a no brainer. But, question Bush is my right as an American. You see, I was almost 12 years old BEFORE I was allowed to become a US Citizen even tho I was born here, so I have earned that right just as anyone else has
