Very sad indeed. Say what you will about Ford; he was a great ambassador for the United States.

He was the last living member of the Warren Commision. I remember exactly where I was when President Nixon resigned.

He was the last living member of the Warren Commision. I was about to say the same thing when I read the title of this thread. For all of those that may not know: The President's Commission on the Assassination of President Kennedy, usually called the Warren Commission after its chairman Chief Justice Earl Warren, conducted hearings in 1964 on the assassination of President Kennedy. It issued its now-famous finding that Lee Harvey Oswald, alone and unaided, killed President Kennedy in Dallas on November 22, 1963. It further found that Jack Ruby's murder of Oswald, while Oswald was in police custody, was also not part of any conspiracy. In addition to the published 26 volumes of evidence, the released files of the Warren Commission include over 50,000 pages of numbered documents, internal memorandum, transcripts of Executive Sessions, and more. The testimony and files of the Commission serve as an important base of evidence in any understanding of the events in Dallas. www.history-matters.com/archive/jfk/wc/contents.htmThose who do not remember the past are condemed to repeat it

He was the last living member of the Warren Commision. I remember exactly where I was when President Nixon resigned. Me also. Gerald Ford lived 93 long years, 58 of them married to Betty Ford, who is likely more famous than her husband. Both Gerald and Betty were jointly awarded the Congressional Gold Medal, the highest honor the national legislature can bestow upon a civilian. I hope I get to be married for 58 years...

Any one man who stays married to the same woman for 58 years should be awarded the CGM.
