Joe Nuxhall, the youngest player ever to play in a Major League Baseball game, longtime Reds announcing partner to Marty Brennaman, and beloved Cincinnati icon, passed away last night from lymphoma at the age of 79.
Whether you love or hate baseball, Nuxy was one of the most loved individuals in both Cincinnati sports and the city itself, and our thoughts are with his family and friends today as he, to use his own words, rounds third and heads for home. He will, most definitely, be missed and remembered.

Joe had a Golf Course in Fairfield Ohio where he lived and a Park there is named after him.. Proud to say I'd met him and talked with him on numerous occasions.. Very nice and down to Earth guy.. You will be sorely missed Joe!
