Tubby rated #1. That's where he should be. I've read some of those posts about a year ago, and it amazes what some people come up to kick some of the celebrated coaches on that list.

Tubby is a top 10 coach when motivated ; only problem is he goes into long periods of hibernation.

What do you mean by hibernation? Look at some of the recruiting classes, look at some of his behavior on the bench! Tubby just does not seem to be driven to excel. The UK job is a job to him, nothing more. When a coach says his biggest thrill in life has been catching a saltwater sailfish or such instead of winning a national championship, what else do you call it? May be part of his charm to the masses.

May be part of his charm to the masses. People belittle his national title anyway, so why do you expect him to say winning the title was his biggest thrill? jk Everybody has hobbies, and catching fish could very well be Tubby's. Most people don't look at work as such a great and pleasant thing anyway. Maybe catching the fish, allows Tubby to relax. I'm just throwing out guesses here to counterbalance you're half empty glass with a half full one. This is just a guess here. But, I bet your biggest thrill in life had nothing to do with your career or job. I would hope that it had something to do with a hobby or your family(kid's being born, getting married, etc.)

My family and kids have provided my biggest thrills in life not a 1000# fish. Well, I'm glad that's the case. I respect that.
