Sounds absurd for me to bring Pitino into, doesn't it? So, why have people been doing it for 8 years? kt, I don't have a fixation with Pitino!! - do you?

I just hate hearing people criticize Tubby for no reason. I'm sorry Golf but we are still a premier program. Duke has lost in the sweet 16 twice in the last three years but I don't hear anyone saying they're slipping. Some of the things being said on here are absolutely ridiculous. It's not that I don't respect opinion or debate, I don't respect terrible opinions and debates. Tubby is one of greatest coaches in the country. How many people outside of our program have to tell us that before we understand it.

This is so much BS.
It does not matter that the SEC has been weak in recent years because UK gets EVERYBODY's best game regardless of where it is played or who is on the other side.
Going to the FF has more to do with luck than any other sport. We would have won the whole thing if Bogans did not go down. He was the ONE person on that team that could not be replaced. We played Maryland tough when we had no business doing so that year.
We were not supposed to be at this point already. I admit that the offense looks stagnant, but couldnt it also be because Hayes is not really a scorer, Morris did not know what he was doing until 3 weeks ago and buike refuses to be the go to guy that we need him to be. I think with Crawford exploding next year, buike as a senior and a much improved morris, we are easily the number 1 team going into next year. Not to mention Rondo.
I think you make a decision what you are going to use as your base with which to build a team and Tubby is a defensive coach, so he concentrates on that aspect of the game.
BTW- Sparks was fouled on the three and should have won it with a free throw with no time left.

But, with the way this board is going lately, many will be blasting the UK program saying they are overrated and will be luck :'(y not to lose 10 games.

Some of you Maniacs would rather that those with differing but legitimate opinions just shutup or leave. No debate is necessary in your opinion. You don't want to even admit how our Cats have slipped in National prestige and consider how Kentucky can get back to the Premier Program we all knew and loved. I believe your blind support of eveything that Tubby does actually brings about more negative reflections on Tubby than there really should be. - this drives an over reaction to get across some of Tubby's deficientcies to those with this blind faith for the man. Guess the Maniac Board just needs to be one big lovefest where differing opinions are frowned upon and invited to leave. DON'T WORRY.......BE HAPPY -219 wins in eight seasons, exact amount in Pitino's 8 seasons -unanimous national COY in 2003 -unanimous SEC COY in 2005 -SEC COY in 1998 and 2003 -5 time SEC Champ -5 time SEC Tourney Champ -7 time SEC East Champ -Wooden Classic Winner in 2004 -1 National Championship -signed nation's fattest contract -coached Olympic team to gold medal in 2000 -took Tulsa and UGA to the Sweet 16 Does that answer your question, whatever that may be?
