Since, ever other thread is turning into a useless argument about Tubby, I thought I'd start another.
Accomplishments: -219 wins in eight seasons, exact amount in Pitino's 8 seasons -unanimous national COY in 2003 -unanimous SEC COY in 2005 -SEC COY in 1998 and 2003 -5 time SEC Champ -5 time SEC Tourney Champ -7 time SEC East Champ -Wooden Classic Winner in 2004 -1 National Championship
No matter how much you guys complain about this and that, you can't take away from Tubby's accomplishment. I know this won't silence that vocal minority, but I'll let his resume do the talking for him. That's all that needs to be said.

Your resume highlights are kind of loaded with SEC accomplishments. We haven't beaten anybody above a 4 seed in the dance in many years. We had two teams rated the best in the country and had one eli8te eight to show for it. Good, yes, great or HOF'er, highly debateable.

Of the nine categories you mention 6 are very much or entirely a result of playing in a weak SEC. Can you deny that?

Try to take credit away from him, but you can't.

Coached the olympic team to a gold medal. He was an assistant. Get real. Lots of people take different schools to sweet 16's; some take different schools to FF's. Fattest contract-may have something to do with fattening that record against the weak SEC.

Oh, don't worry, Tubby is gonna stay here. He isn't gonna let some "know-it-alls" run him off. You can't take away the facts.

"-219 wins in eight seasons, exact amount in Pitino's 8 seasons" - posts kt kt, Why did you need to add the comparison to Pitino?

Can you refute anything I say KTB? Don't really think so. The SEC's record in the tourney since 98 shows how strong it is. Was Tubby the Olympic head coach? No. Your facts are there , I will agree but winning stuff in the SEC isn't that big a deal.

Some of you Maniacs would rather that those with differing but legitimate opinions just shutup or leave. No debate is necessary in your opinion. You don't want to even admit how our Cats have slipped in National prestige and consider how Kentucky can get back to the Premier Program we all knew and loved. I believe your blind support of eveything that Tubby does actually brings about more negative reflections on Tubby than there really should be. - this drives an over reaction to get across some of Tubby's deficientcies to those with this blind faith for the man. Guess the Maniac Board just needs to be one big lovefest where differing opinions are frowned upon and invited to leave. DON'T WORRY.......BE HAPPY
