i really don't see how someone could not take this NBA rejection as a wake up call. if anything could make morris wake up and get motivated this should be it. i think we will see a much better morris next year if he comes back. and while i agree that attempting to enter the draft seemed insane it really wasn't all that crazy considering he was projected late first round until recently. i think he is smarter than most give him credit for just a little immature which will diminish with time. Try the words LAZY and SPOILED!! There's an old saying that "When the going gets tough, the tough get going.". I'm sure that Morris will turn it up some early on but let's see if he can perpetuate the intensity game in and game out the way his teammates will.

OK, OK, I believe.
And yes, UK will be much better with him.

Morris could really dominate next year just for the simple fact that the NBA humbled him and he wants to impress them.

BTW, I think that Morris humbled himself by not being ready after his freshman year and then not even putting out the effort in the tryouts!! The NBA was just watching him and they didn't humble him!!

Well, since it is beginning to look as if Morris may be returning (I am still waiting for him to take his name out of the draft...he has not yet pulled it out, right?)...I am not saying he will stay in mind you...just kind of waiting for it to be official...
Anyway, well...I definitely have mixed feelings about it...this is one situation where you really need a crystal ball (or at least a Magic 8 Ball!) to see into the future...
Will Morris returning have a more positive impact or a more negative impact?
If the guy can get his act together and put forth a great effort night in and night out, obviously UK will be a better team with him than without...
I have some legit concerns though...given his seeming lack of effort in most games last season...his reported laziness at some of his NBA workouts...
Try adding a dose of bitterness about having to come back to school where he would rather not be...
Obviously, what you would want out of a kid in this situation would be for the kid to be extra motivated and determined...you know...prove the doubters wrong kind of thing...the old "I'll show 'em!"
If Morris can get that fire burning in his belly, then yep...I think things should work out OK...
I hope Morris has had a reality check... a wake-up call...
It seems to me that he just thought that all he had to do was skate into the NBA, cash his fat paychecks, and live the good life...without the hard work...
Well, unless Morris shows up with a good attitude and a burning desire to work hard and to hustle and do his best...it could get very interesting around here in a not-so-good way...
I am hoping all turns out well...

At least it will not be so boring this off season with the Morris thing.
Maybe next, the other players will go on a hunger strike for better dorm rooms.

Oh, it should not be boring to say the least TB...
If Morris does get that burning desire and work ethic going, then along with the abundance of talent of the rest of the squad, I feel that we have a legit shot at winning it all next season...
GO CATS!

I think the NBA experience humbled him. If it didn't, he would be staying in the draft and signing with an agent by now. If Morris humbled himself, he wouldn't have declared for the draft in the first place, golf.

What's your fixation with demeaning kt, whatever that might be? I bet we couldn't go a week without arguing about something.

I felt all along that Morris would be back, but over the past couple of weeks I found myself half heartedly wanting his return. My biggest fear isn't that he won't produce. My biggest fear is that his attitude will be a poison to the rest of the team. I'm not sure if we wouldn't be better off without him. All of that matters not though if he's coming back.
I do hope Tubby stays up his butt like he did with Kelenna and his Tarzan and Jane remark. Something has to wake this kid up, or he might find out what it's like to walk in the shoes of a Josh Carrier, or Brandon Stockton or should I say SIT in their seats.

I just hope that if Morris is going to loaf, Tubby has the guts to allow him to loaf on the bench instead of in the game. I'm still sincerely sorry to have him return but he is and hopefully he will not be allowed to be a bad influence.

It does not matter if he returns or not to the UK "program". It might matter to us fans, but not in the same way to UK Athletics. If Rupp Arenas continues to be filled, the money will continue to flow, with or without him. There will be no difference in the end to UK. Fans yes, UK no.
