I refuse to believe anything I see or read right now. I accept that nothing is as it appears. Just like an X-File story. I have my head in the sand, and don't want to get confused by facts.

As of 12/19/05 I remain undecided, but this is the year I'll let you know for sure what I think about Tubby. Ask this question again on April 4th and I'll be able to choose. This is the first year under Tubby that I truly feel like he has the talent to reach the final four, so I'll decide once the season is complete..

A 55.9% approval rating, that sure doesn't sound good. However, I can understand why..

I'm all for Tubby staying at UK forever. Are you a Dukie? Welcome, if so. I'm curious with you being a Blue Devil why you would want Tubby at UK forever. Is it so you can maintain the present status quo with UK and Duke or is it because you think Tubby is greatest thing since sliced bread?

I think Tubby is a solid coach who will keep UK slightly less succesful than you all might hope.

Guys and girls, I think we are all spoiled. Talking with a fellow co-worker whom is a great big Carolina fan, he made a statement that stopped me in my tracks. I quote " How in the hell do you consider firing a coach whom has led the nation in winning for the last 3 years?" Thats when it hit me. Kentucky fans are spoiled rotten by the success that they have enjoyed since basketball has been played. The all-time winningest program, 7 titles, god knows how many SEC titles, All-Americans, Final Fours, the list goes on and on. THAT is the heritage of Kentucky basketball, that is the line by which everyone in the program is judged. Good or bad, thats how it is. I could not explain to my co-worker that this is how it is supose to be. The whole state revolves around this. Where else can you change the mood of a whole state by playing a basketball game? Kentucky basketball is not an attitude, Ky bball is a way of life. I would say that everyone here bought their kids at birth the first of many Kentucky outfits. My first grandchild will be here this March, and she already knows not to come on game time. Her first outfit will be Ky blue. GO WILDCATS.

...and that's why a great winning percentage is just not quite enough. It's all (maybe nearly all) or nothing for me.

I'm glad I can honestly say that KY Basketball is not a way of life for me.
I love it, but God and Family are a way of life for me. When we lose I get over it pretty quick. It hurts pretty bad for a couple of hours but then things start getting back to normal.

I quote " How in the hell do you consider firing a coach whom has led the nation in winning for the last 3 years?" . Not only that, but Ricky Soliver went so far as to call Tubby a legend. "“We can not hang our heads because this is not a bad loss, we played hard but we just didn’t play smart. Kentucky has a legendary coach and we just have to take the positives from this game and learn.” Sometimes, it's hard for us to appreciate our current coach when he's the fifth in a row of legendary coaches. The talk of missing a final four is warranted tho, as even Tubby has talked about it from time to time. I believe that he'll get there soon.
