Someone with the resources please start this website. Let's get it advertised so that our displeasure will be known.

Those domains are already taken. But seriously, that's rather harsh. I'm for no coach's firing unless they are in violation of regulation or law, or breech of contract (or their last name rhymes with "Crooks"). What I would like to see is Coach Smith finding a position that would be a better fit for his style of offense where he and his fans would be more confortable. Maybe the NBA? As we've all said, he's a nice guy who promotes an honorable image. He's someone who gives his players a lot of understanding and support....sometimes so to be a fault. But, he's just not a great fit for this program. Let's all pull ourselves out of this hole and strive on. Let's all hope, once yet again , that we can learn from our mistakes, adjust, and be a better, hungrier team because of it Go Big Blue!

Someone with the resources please start this website. Let's get it advertised so that our displeasure will be known. That's embarrasing and really makes our fan base look bad. The irony is that the poster has findgod.com in his/her signature. There is a strong contrast in promoting a website called findgod.com and wanting firetubby.com in the same post. Good grief.

I believe that Tubby is coming to the realization as many of his supporters are that he is not the correct Coach with the right System to lead the Kentucky Program.
Hopefully some things will happen after this season.

If my notes are still correct, in 2003 the board of trustees renegotiated Tubby’s contract to allow an increase in pay that would started at $1,750,000/yr and would run for eight years with a yearly increase of $92,875/yr. Tubby is currently earning $1,842,857/yr. The contract also included incentive bonuses for on-court performance and academic performance of his teams, plus retention bonuses that will be due following the 2007 and 2011 seasons. I don’t believe Tubby has earned any bonuses todate, but he will get the retention bonuses. The contract contained no buy out options for Kentucky, and no penalties should Tubby choose to leave. If Kentucky fired Tubby at the end of this season the University would have to pay him $11,071,429. Even if Barnhart chose to pay Tubby off, Dr. Todd would not allow it because the trustees would fire both of them first, saving the school about $10,000,000.00. Even if everyone at the school chose to pay off Tubby, the Legislature would likely threaten to cut off tax dollars if they did. Tubby might resign, or he might be promoted up. One thing is certain Tubby will never be forced out.

How do you figure? Can a man or woman who loves God not have an opinion anymore? Give me a friggin break, bud. Now if it said: Ihatesmith.com, or something like that, that's different. But there is nothing wrong with a "Christian" endorsing a site that wants a coaching change. "Good grief" to you as well, pal.

Thanks Saul HairStylist. I am not asking for anyone to kill Tubby. If Tubby can't do his job then we need to hire someone who can.

Good grief.
I've seen Pat Riley mentioned as a possible replacement for Tubby. I don't think that's realistic, and it may not even be desirable. Has the guy ever coached on the college level?
Being totally hypothetical since I don't see Tubby going anywhere, one of my choices would be Dennis Felton at Georgia. He did a great job at WKU, whipping UK once, and he has Georgia back on track. I like his aggressive style of play.
