Thier is no doubting that Tubby Smith is a great coach, but we as fans like a faster pace. His recruiting isn't what I call top notch, but he has managed to reel in some very good players(Prince,Bogans, ect..). The only thing Holding him back as a coach is bringing in good recruiting classes every year. Forget these 7 footers who can't play get those 6-8 to 6-10 fellas who can flat out ball. I really like the 2006 class he is bringing in big time.

Now that players pretty much have to play a year in college there will be a greater need for big men and the game in general will slow down to account for more big men also.

Ha, Tubby hasn't a clue, and couldn't coach his way out of a paper sack. He has no idea and no interest in getting out and working for the big guys.
Ha, Tubby is the best coach in the nation. A Championship, conference dominance two overall number one seeds. Best winning percentage over the past three seasons.
Yep, that just about covers both sides of it doesn't it.

Where do people get this best winnng percentage stuff over three years from. The last three complete seasons, Illinois has the best winning percentage. Perhaps Tubby gets that by default since Illinois had two different coaches over the span.

Now I may still be wrong, but I think amond D1 coaches Tubby has the best winning % over the past three seasons. Like I said I could still be wrong, but if so not by much.

Tubby does have the highest percentage. I was trying to play both sides of the coin like you were doing originally in praising and criticizing Tubby.
