I watched her on the Hot List recently and she said that for her, making UT the best possible program it can be is what keeps driving her. Think about that. Six titles, sixteen Final Fours, and not one mention of what she did "back then." She still wants UT to be in Final Fours and be a legit title contender.
Tubby is not like her in this regard. He seems content with SEC titles and Sweet Sixteens and rarely if ever talks about what he needs to do to get UK back to a Final Four.
Definition of insanity is this: Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.
Tubby Smith isn't changing, people, and he's had 7 years of his own recruiting, own system, and own reputation to try to get UK to a Final Four. This, in all cases, will be year number eight of a Final Four drought, tying UK's all-time mark in that regard.
My question to his defenders is this: how long do we wait?

What most of those that want Tubby to move on is a desire to build our Program back to an Elite Top 5 Status. - A Program that will generally have a realistic chance to get to the Final Four in most years and therefore have a shot at #8 and beyond. Oh yea, we would like to see an entertaining brand of basketball with our players actually having fun and getting better in using their skills and not being afraid or confused what to do on the court. Is that so unreasonable and will Tubby be able to transition to pull those goals off. After all he has had 8 years and we are going backward.

Talk about exaggerating a point. I challenge you to find a post where I said I expect a title every year. In fact, I only expect a Final Four every four years. Those were UK standards pre-Smith. Go back and look for yourself. Pat Summit expects success. You and Tubby don't seem to. There lies the difference.

My guess is you wasnt even born for the '78 title. ED

I think the question is legit. How many more years will you be happy with Tubby if UK still hasn't been back to the Final Four? 10? 15? It will be 8 after this season, so don't make light of the numbers in the question.
