I have been a UK Fan for over 35 years and for the first time in my life I am wanting this team to lose. I know that sounds ridiculous but I have a method to my madness. I have been a Tubby supporter since day one but I have finally had enough. He has lost control of the program and is staring an NIT bid in the face.
I feel that if we lose out and get an NIT bid then maybe enough people with enough money will force the university to send him packing. He may very well go somewhere else and be successful but he has worn out his welcome in the Bluegrass.
The final straw was watching a team with this much experience let the shot clock run out so many times!! That is inexcusable!!

It is sorry. It is SORRY that how far Tubby Smith has taken down this once GREAT program.

So a "fan" should root against the team?

I understand that you might not be happy with the state of the program, but rooting to lose is disgusting.

Papa, I hate to say but I agree 100%. Crawford summed it up when he did not pass the ball up to meeks for the dunk. No heart, No teamwork, no passion. That is a sign that the coach has lost his team. But, Tubby, you have also lost 95% of the big blue nation.

Different fans vent in different ways. For some, "the end justifies the means". We all have our own, unique coping mechanisms. Some of us blog, some will boycott, some call in to talk shows, some write editorials, some will simply hope for a better season, and still some will turn a blind eye and wish to recruit a saviour. We all have our ways. However, we all are in one accord when we realize that UK needs a change.

While I will never root for UK to lose, I do think a change is needed. What that may consist of I dont know. Maybe hire someone with a different offensive philosophy. I just dont think Tubby will be gone. I do not believe that the Admin. will fire him or present themselves in that light. No, something else will have to change. If Jai and Patterson sign with us, great, we'll have next year with the remainder of this team and some new blood to work with. Downside is that we will continue to run the same staggnent offense. So my guess would be that someone else besides Tubby will take the fall.
