I said last week that I didn't think Tubby should be fired, but that he should be given some ultimatums and 1 year to fix this mess. I'll stick with that, he's earned a chance to fix it if he wants it.
However, if Tubby leaves now on his own, I think it would be best for all. UK is no longer feared, is losing national recognition and stature as a program, has lost to an SEC team 6 straight times for the 1st time ever, has lost to Vandy 4 straight, is in the 2nd straight double-digit loss season, is in the opening round of the SEC tourney for the 2nd straight year, is not ranked and hasn't been ranked much of the last 2 seasons, and probably won't be around for the 2nd weekend of the tournament again. March used to be fun as a Wildcat fan and this is no longer the case. UK is an also-ran and I am tired of it.

he will be given another chance next year. his contract doesn't expire until 2011 so he might even have 2 years left. i don't think Tubby will leave on his own, but this recruiting bullsh*t has got to end. it seems like this past week wasn't the greatest news in the recruitment of jai and pp. but if morris does stay, and i really think he should, we could have a pretty good team next year. i think Tubby at least deserves the chance to coach the juniors until there time is up at uk.
but then again, Tubby put himself in this situation. it would make all the difference in the world if we had a good class coming in next year. but as of now, it ain't that good and Tubby has not done himself any favors because he knows that is one of the main reasons people want him gone. then he promised changes, well still haven't seen them. pretty much the same team except for one less loss and playing a tougher schedule. i have said this a thousand times, it's not about the coach, it's about the program. the are very high expectations at uk and Tubby is payed well enough to live up to these expectations. i'll shut up now.
