VCU's coach Anthony Grant is suddenly a hot commodity. He was an assistant under Billy Donovan, and is partly responsible for the talent that Florida managed to land year-after-year. In his rookie year at VCU he has won the conference and tournament titles while winning coach of the year in the Colonial Athletic. Now he has beaten Duke in the NCAA.
So what do you guys think?
IF....IF Tubby leaves, would Grant be a good fit at UK?

I had not seen much of Grant until last night's game. I was impressed with his team's poise, which is a reflection of the coach. How old is he? He looks very young.

i knew this was coming. the guy seems to be a good coach and learned under bd and has been praised for his recruiting, but do you really think uk would go after a coach who isn't proven? give him a few years to actually prove he is the real deal.
right now i would say no!

I don't think that we should look at a coach just for one win.

UK does not need to go after someone who has one good year in a mediocre conference. Yes, they beat Duke but UK needs to go after a PROVEN head coach. Someone that has had success for a number of years and has done fairly well in the tourney.

As far as Anthony Grant. If you consider him you would have to consider Pelphrey and Ford.
Hell keep Tubby for the x'and o's and hire all 3 as assistants. ;D
Sorry could not resist the John and Travis debate.
