You gotta think postive... Tubby is NOT staying. Tubby is staying and that would be positive. If Amaker becomes an assistant it will be at Duke.

I agree. Tubby needs to go. I don't think Amaker would fit what the fans want, but might be a yes man to Tubby. I agree though dUKe will save him.

No thanks to Amaker. Don't need a Dukie on the UK staff.

I agree, but coach Amaker did clean up Michigan, they were on probation I think, that program was torn to pieces, and he has done a great job there just look at it for a moment. Miichigan just puts itself in an elite program themselves, they said 20 wins is not good enough, we want to be even better, he is an excellent coach, but I don't think ky recruiter/coach is his ticket..

I think this is right. It helps to remember that these coaches are people, not machines. Amaker did Michigan proud, but I really don't think he is ready yet for the head coaching reigns at a university that size, nor, as you say, does he recruit well enough. I would rather see someone more capable in recruiting as an assistant coach - a young up-and-comer perhaps, someone who isn't necessarily ready to take on a top job, but will be in a few years. Someone like VCU's coach was 3 years ago. For my money, assistant coaches shouldn't be at a program like UK more than about 3-4 years. If they haven't been tapped for a head job by then, they are probably not worth having.
