I am glad Dick spoke up either way. He is not a UK Lover like he is with Duke or Coach K, but he does like and almost always speaks highly of the program. I don't think he is like Seth Davis. I have always respected Vitale and Bilas as being enthusiastic and knowledgable hoops guys.

While it is true that Tubby has taken too much abuse it is also true that the state of the program has had a sharp downturn of late. Recruiting has not been good at all, and that 26 game per year average is dropping. We now struggle to make the tournament and win 20 games. While we cannot forget the past, we must still consider the present and the what appears to be the state of the program for the next few years unless something signifigant changes.
Tubby cannot be given a pass when he is the one with the control of the program and the recruiting. He has to be held accountable. He should not be abused. IMO he runs the program the only way he knows how. That does not seem to be good enough for a large number of us fans, and so Tubby should seriously consider his future employment.
Heck why wait for the call; why not make the call to Michigan himself?

Well Dicky V, did give us his side, but he really gave us Tubby's stats for the past ten yrs. Well that is all good and Tubby has nice stats when added and divided simple math, BUT this is the truth, Dicky V, is looking at the overall picture, LOOK AT THE PAST 4 YRS, we have declined. 30 wins used to be the norm PERIOD................ now it is 20 wins, lost recruits ...... and really wasn't for our name others could say we may of not been in the tournment the past two years, we lost to every ranked team I could think of....maybe we beatone . The past couple of seasons are a LOW point for this program period.............

I agree with both of yoouuss guys. I think most of us agree arguing numbers can work both ways. Tubby's at 50/50 with his. There are as many bad stats as good, always a counter.
The national media wants to put in their stories, but don't live and breath UK like we do. dUKie V. is a blowhard most of the time and what ever school or city he is at is the greatest BABY!! So when talks I tend to stop listening.
