: Sergeant 1st Class Gregory Hicks, 35, of the First Calvary Division, lost his life, along with eight others, when the U.S. Army Medevac Blackhawk helicopter in which he was a passenger crashed last Thursday in Fallujah, a breeding ground of anti-American rebellion, in Iraq.
(It was speculated that the chopper was brought down by hostile ground fire.)For entire story, see the link at the bottom of this page:-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
( Kyblueintenn Thoughts) -- We live here in Lafollette Tenn, as many of you know, it is a small town in Campbell Co. Tenn. This is a small county, and many people from here were saddened by this news in the last day or so. As you see, this was a young guy, with a beautiful family, and two young children. The link to the story is below, I hope you will take the time to read it. My wife is the Co-ordinator at Wal-Mart here for community outreach, and they had a dinner today with funds going to the family in an effort to help this family, which as you read the story, you see they need. This is posted to serve as a tribute to this young man, and his family for the Ultimate sacrafice this man , and his family with his loss, has made for this Great Country of Ours. It is also a reminder that even though we fight a war so far away,it is yet, here at home. May you remember this family in your prayers tonight, and may we all. always Remember of the Ultimate Sacrafice he, and others have given, that we might live in this land of Freedom ! May God bless this family. Entire story:http://www.lafollettepress.com/headlines/headline2.html
