CAMERON, Texas -- Two high school football players were killed Tuesday when the pickup truck they were riding in was hit by a passenger train headed for the Super Bowl in Houston. Police said no one on the Burlington Northern Santa Fe train was injured. The two students were both juniors at Cameron Yoe High School. Police did not immediately release their names. "They were athletes and good students," Yoe Principal Clint McMahon told The Associated Press. "They were leaders in school and on the football team. You can't say enough good things about them." The accident occurred about 5 p.m. in Cameron, a patrolman with the Cameron Police Department said. There are no crossing lights or guards at the location of the collision. www.newsday.com/sports/nationworld/wire/sns-ap-fbo-player-deaths-train,0,6856515.story?coll=sns-ap-sports-headlines A very sad story indeed !
