MTSU vs. Kentucky - 1:30 pm
Why to watch: These are heady times in the Bluegrass State as Kentucky is 3-0 looking to keep its record spotless before traveling to the Swamp. MTSU has gotten off to a disappointing start with losses to Alabama and Tennessee, but would love to put a crimp in UK's season.
One reason why MTSU might win: Kentucky hasn't faced a team that can really run the ball and even so, Louisville, UTEP and Indiana still combined to average 145 yards on the ground. MTSU's Dwone Hicks and Reshard Lee are way overdue to break out and have a big game.
One reason why Kentucky might win: MTSU gave up 236 passing yards to Alabama and 263 to Tennessee. That sound you hear is Jared Lorenzen's drool hitting the floor.
Matchup to watch: The MTSU defensive back seven vs. UK RB Artose Pinner. Lorenzen gets all the headlines, but Pinner has been the real difference this year running for 356 yards and catching 13 passes in the first three games. His speed has to be nullified by the MTSU defense so he doesn't break off any huge runs.
What will happen: Is Kentucky the real deal? Confidence is everything and even though MTSU is a good team, Kentucky is playing far too well. If the UK run defense can really play as well as it has over the first few games, the Wildcats will be 4-0.
Must Watch Rating (5 must see - 1 now showing on HBO ... Pootie Tang!): 3
Line: Oasis Line: Kentucky -7 | NASA line: Kentucky -6.5
CFN Prediction: Kentucky 28 ... MTSU 20
OK. I'll take the 'Cats by the score of:
UK 31
MTSU 14
